Car Crash Kills 'American Idol' Contestant, Former NBA Player

“American Idol” contestant Leah LaBelle and her husband, former NBA player Rasual Butler, were killed in a single car collision on Ventura Boulevard in California early Wednesday around 2 AM. According to police, Butler lost control of the couple's Range Rover, hitting a parking meter before slamming into a wall and flipping the car over. Labelle competed on the third season of “American Idol” in 2004, making it all the way to the top 12.
