Former NBA player May Join Venture Capitalist Firm

According to Axios, former Golden State Warriors forward David Lee, who retired from the NBA just last week, could soon join VC firm Social Capital. Lee had already hinted at plans to join the Bay Area venture, saying days ago, "I decided to roll the dice and to try something new and I'm really excited about my decision." Axios adds that Social Capital's portfolio includes brands like Bustle, Slack, Sprig, and Wealthfront. Since its founder Chamath Palihapitiya is also a minority owner of the Warriors, Lee's choice to join Social Capital is not considered to be surprising.
